if someone ruins a name for you can you ever get over it?

i have really liked some names in the past, but them some horrible person or stereotype has come along and ruined it. and i can never get over it even tho i like the name. i.e. my husbands aunty destroyed my wedding by screaming at me and calling me a harlot straight after the ceremony and attacked me and pulled my husband away from me and her name was Leah. i used to like the name but now i just cringe at the sound of it. also, husbands sister really REALLY hurt me. she did some terrible things and her middle name is Leah. and then in one of the twilight books the real nasty girl in it is called Leah. argh! but there are others like Jessica, Melissa, Melanie, Amber, Tawny, Sarah etc that i just cannot get over. like… i think the name is nice but i just can’t stand the thought that comes to mind when i hear the name. itll never change and it sucks.

how about you? names you have loved but that someone has ruined? will you ever get over it?

Ha-ha, wow. What an wedding. Yeah, I used to love the name Natasha until this one girl decided it was her goal to ruin my life. I used to really like that name until I met her… I will never get over it. I hold grudges.. and well, I won’t ever really like that name again.
