How to replace a double ended halogen lamp?
I have a halogen fixture with a 130v 150w halogen lamp. I thought maybe it was held in by springs so tried to push it in to remove the old light and it broke. Anyways now I am trying to put the new bulb in and can’t figure it out, please help.
You are right there is a spring contact but only at one end of the lamp holder. Turn off mains to lamp and check for the spring end. PS don’t touch the glass envelope of the lamp with your fingers as the moisture from your fingers will shorten the life of the lamp.
