how do you make a simple circle move on a video clip with adobe after effects cs4?
My word, for hours I have not been able get any object to be animated onscreen with or without a clip. Here are my steps: File>import>my file>then>Layer>new>solid>random shape tool>draw shape>click composition>open all masks with m key> press T>Press P,M,S seperately with shift each time>and this is where I am stuck
i don’t really understand what have you done but i know what you want to do. all you need to do is to create a new solid above your video layer. then pick pen tool or ellipse Mask tool(left side of pen tool) and draw a round shape where ever you want(or simply double click on the tool too see results). hit “V” to bring selection tool, select mask layer and click on the stop watch for mask path. move forward a little bit and then move the whole mask. remember if you have not selected all mask Vertexes (the small dots that help you make the a vector or mask) and then you move it, mask will get out of shape so make sure they are all selected.
you can move mask bye key framing mask path that’s all.
